Our mission is to be the heartbeat of our community—a bridge connecting constituents, visitors, and City services. We’re more than just a point of contact; we’re the catalyst for positive change. We document non-emergency service requests, ensuring they reach the appropriate departments. We also maintain a comprehensive database of resources that helps empower both our internal departments and external organizations within the city and surrounding areas. Furthermore, we foster relationships with government agencies, elected officials’ offices, and community-based organizations.
Our responsibilities include coordinating events for the Office of the Mayor, such as the State of the City Address, along with organizing and participating in community events, forums, and volunteer activities to enhance community engagement. As we build relationships, ignite conversations, and spark engagement, we aim to inspire, uplift, and transform the way that the City of Gary engages with its citizens.
