The City of Gary Department of Public Parks is currently working on its 5-year Master Plan (2023-2027). Public input is vital to the planning process; we need your feedback to successfully plan for the future development of parks, recreational programming and aquatics. Public comment can be submitted to: https://masterplan.eppley.org/gary-in/
It shall be the purpose of the department of public parks to stress the value of recreation, both active and passive, for individual growth and development. We are dedicated to the common cause of assuring that people of all ages and abilities have the opportunity to find the most satisfying use of their leisure time and enjoy an improved quality of life. Consistent with this purpose, every opportunity shall be afforded to plan, procure, develop and maintain the park and recreational resources.
